Open an HTML document your agent wrote and edit it right on the page, like any other document, without breaking its design. When you pause, your agent looks at what you changed and fixes whatever it affects, without waiting to be asked. Anything bigger, you can leave as a comment.
Then try it on our example, a short proposal for a rooftop garden:
Or tell your agent which of your own documents you want to work on together.
Waiting for changes on the page…
p-1: “shared” → “<strong>shared</strong>”tr-3 after tr-2: “Rain barrel”, “€400”td-6 to €5,150.table-1: “Mention the 10% discount if we order before March.”table-1.quotes/beds.pdf, so I left a comment on it for you.You bold a word and add a row on the page. The agent sees the new row and fixes the total, writes the paragraph you asked for in a comment, and leaves you a comment of its own when a cost doesn’t match the supplier’s quote.
Edit the page the way you’d edit any document. When you pause, your agent looks at what you changed and takes care of whatever it touches. It fixes what your edit broke, and asks before changing what you meant.
Your agent updates the totals, percentages and chart bars that depend on it.
“See the table below” becomes “above”, and figure numbers follow the new order.
Typos and phrasing that doesn’t sound natural get fixed, and your agent tells you in one line so you can change them back.
If it doesn’t match your project’s data, your agent leaves you a comment instead of changing your text.
Comment “chart this table”, and the chart appears below it, in the document’s own style.
You and your agent can edit at the same time. If you change different words, both changes are kept.
On the page you can type, format, add and remove rows, drag things into a new order, comment and undo, like in any document. Claude Code catches up within seconds of you pausing; other agents catch up when they next check.
Agents now write documents as carefully designed HTML, with colour-coded tables, charts and print layouts. Word or Google Docs would convert all of that into its own format, and much of the design would get lost on the way.
AI in a document editor usually acts when you ask it to. Here your agent looks at your edits whenever you pause and takes care of what they affect, like the total under the amount you just changed.
You edit the file itself, so there's nothing to import or export. Charts, colours and print layout stay exactly as your agent made them, and what you print or send is that same file.
You don’t send a request and wait for the reply. Your agent picks up each comment as you leave it, and the page reloads with the change while you carry on with the rest.
The document never leaves your disk. To open it on your tablet, or work on it with someone on the same Wi-Fi, ask your agent to share it on your network.
